Helen Adams Keller

This time, I would like to tell you about my motivational person. What is motivational person? It is a/some person that motivated or inspired you to become a better person.

Okay, my motivational person is Helen Adams Keller or we knowed as Helen Keller. Why? Because I think she is very impressive, smart, and she's not easily to give up. Okay, now I will tell you the biography of Helen Keller

Helen Adams Keller was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama on 27th of June 1880. Kaller was the first of two daughters born to Arthur H. Keller and Katherine Adams Keller. When she was only 19 months old when she lost her sight and hearing due to an unknown illness. She was an extremely intelligent child who became aware of her difference from an early age, and was so frustrated by her inability to communicate with her parents that she would frequently fly into rages, sometimes on an hourly basis. Then at 7 years old, her parents trusted Anne Mansfield Sulivan to be Helen Keller's teacher. Helen was taught to read Braille alphabeths until she understood what it's means. Anne taught Helen to spoke diligently, so Helen said:
" The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart."
 She learned French, German, Greek, and Latin language through Braille. At 20 years old, Helen studied at Radcliffe College,

Harvard University branch for women. Only 4 years, she's graduated with the title magna cumlaude. She became the first ever deaf and blind person to graduate from college in 1904, and later went on to co-found the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) in 1920.

In 1914, Helen Keller has travelled around America to became an activist, counselor, and lecturer, especially for children who had limitations like herself. She also visited the soldiers in Europe who involved in World War II with Anne Sulivan. In 1923, Helen became spokeswoman for American Foundation for the Blind and she manage fundraising to made better education for sufferers of physical limitations.

Keller wrote 12 books and several articles. The name of the books are The King Frost (1891), The Story of My Life (1903), The World I Live in (1908), Out of The Dark (1913), My Religion (1927) which was republished as Light in my Darkness, and so on.

Helen Keller died at 87 years old while she's sleeping in her house. She was one of the greatest humanitarian figures of the 20th century.
